Carmen graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, major in contemporary dance. During her study at the Academy, she has been awarded Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Scholarship and Reaching Out Award (ROA) Scholarship, and has participated in international festivals including “B12 Dance Festival” in Berlin and “One Small Step Dance Festival” in Corfu.
She is currently a freelance dance artist and has worked with local and international choreographers including Christine Gouzelis (Greece), Dam Van Huynh (Britain), Diane Madden (USA), Chang Xiao Ni (Beijing) and Ian Robinson (USA) and companies including Y-Space, City Contemporary Dance Company and Hong Kong Art Festival.
Carmem has choreographed “II”, “Loafer”and “Play What!”for WuQing DNA 2019 (Hong Kong). She also participated in Let’s Be Together Arts Festival 2019 (Hong Kong) and created “Memory of Sugar which she later brought to Hengchun (Taiwan) to perform. In 2020, Carmen also presented her solo work 4”33”.
